Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It unconformably contacts the underlying strata. Next older regional unit is the Taoqihe Fm conglomerate. [HOWEVER -- Kosenko et al. (2021) do not indicate a Ningyuancun Fm for Banzifang Fm, but imply a major discontinuity of the Yongancun Fm onto the mid-Cretaceous Taoqihe Fm.]
Upper contact
It unconformably contacts the overlying Ningyuan Fm (Ningyuancun Fm)
Regional extent
The Banzifang Formation is distributed in the Yichun and Jiayin area.
